A truck driver was arrested with contraband of poppy straw and cash in Narwal area here on Monday.
Police said that a police party of Police Post Narwal led by Sub Inspector Vikas Jasrotia while on naka duty near Transport Yard Narwal, apprehended a person namely Gurmeet Singh of Karan Bagh, Gadi Garh Jammu on a truck.
On search of the vehicle, total of 51 Kg Poppy Straw and Cash of Rs 30,000 was recovered from his possession.
A case has been registered and investigation started.
